The chain and necklace case are also included.
This is an extremely rare King Seiko pocket watch from the 1970s.
The case is made of pure silver (925) and features beautifully intricate engraved patterns.
Due to the beauty of the engraving and the fact that it's made of 925 silver, it commands an incredibly high premium price in Japan. Pocket watches are currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity thanks to Swatch and Odemars Piguet. They were already wonderful even without that, though.
When we inquired with Seiko about whether the engraving was done by hand, they confirmed that it was machine-engraved at the time of manufacture. However, this method is no longer possible, further increasing the value of this watch.
Its substantial weight speaks volumes about the high level of craftsmanship poured into its creation.
For watch collectors, this is truly a coveted item.
